Bruce Peele was born in Hamlet NC, which is a small town close to the SC border. As a young man he started working with metal and some roofing. During WWII he worked as a sheet metal mechanic in Martin Aircraft Factory in Baltimore, MD where he met a young pop rivet lady Mabel King. After the war they married and moved back to NC. Bruce and his three brothers; Henry, BJ and Curtis all became members of the sheet metal union. He eventually moved to Fayetteville NC where he started his own business in 1960 named P & W Metalworks. He did custom sheet metal work and roofing. He also trained his wife's brother Bob King who lived in WV which would retire from the sheet metal union.....
